Tri-border bases
We proudly serve the Tri-Border community, uniquely positioned at the crossroads of Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium. While our name references Geilenkirchen, our reach extends beyond borders.
Our closest neighbors to Geilenkirchen NATO Air Base are JFC Brunssum and USAG Benelux-Brunssum, both located in the Netherlands. We are committed to supporting U.S. and NATO ID cardholders across all nearby installations—wherever you’re stationed in the Tri-Border area, you’re part of our community!
School & Childcare
Our Tri-Border community offers a range of childcare and educational options for children from infancy through high school.
Child Development Centers (CDCs) are available on both Geilenkirchen NATO Air Base and JFC Brunssum, providing trusted care for young children. While Family Child Care (FCC) providers are not available in this region due to the absence of on-base housing, families can explore additional local childcare options on both the German and Dutch sides of the border.
We’re also fortunately to have the DoDEA International School located off base in Brunssum, serving students from Pre-K through 12th grade. This school offers a diverse and supportive environment for our community’s children to thrive academically and socially.
