About Us

Finding Community through Volunteering.

At ASGK we are here to support the spouses within the Tri-boarder community. We want to encourage each other to be stronger spouses, not only for our families and friends, but for ourselves. We stand together.

Mission: The ASGK mission includes active participation within our community, but more specifically, leading by example. We want to provide an open door to those that are new to the GK community and keep that door open to those already here and established. As an organization, we want to volunteer and serve those that need assistance within our community.

Our Story

American Spouses of Geilenkirchen (ASGK) is a private organization founded in 1997 by a group of American spouses stationed at the Geilenkirchen NATO Air Base in Germany and was originally named 'American Women of Geilenkirchen'. ASGK's primary goal is to raise funds to provide scholarships for local students pursuing higher education, as well as giving back to the community through welfare requests.

In addition to providing scholarships, ASGK also organizes various events and initiatives to support the community. One of their notable contributions is the monthly events they host for the Tri-boarder community, where spouses within the area can come together, connect, and support each other.

ASGK's commitment to giving back has made a significant impact on the Geilenkirchen community, and their work continues to make a difference in the lives of many. Through their fundraising efforts, scholarships have been awarded to numerous students, providing them with the means to pursue their dreams and achieve their goals.

Overall, ASGK serves as an exemplary example of how a dedicated group of individuals can come together to make a meaningful difference in their community.

American Spouses of Geilenkirchen serves the tri-boarder Community. It is a private organization and is not part of the Department of Defense nor any of its components; ASGK has no governmental status.
