Welfare Requests

The American Spouses of Geilenkirchen (ASGK) is committed to serving not only our members but also the wider community throughout the Tri-border area. As part of this commitment, we offer welfare requests to private organizations and groups in need of assistance. Our welfare committee will review requests for support and work with the requesting organization to determine the best course of action.

To apply for a welfare request for your organization or group, simply reach out to us and provide details about your needs and the scope of your request. Our committee will then assess your application and work with you to provide the support you need. We understand that times can be tough, and we're dedicated to doing our part to help our community thrive.

For all school related organizations, endorsement from the US principal is required. In cases where the welfare request is on behalf of a private organization (i.e Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts), the check will be issued in the name of the private organization, troop number, etc. as applicable. Checks will not be issued to individuals on behalf of the private organization. In the case of a lost check, a $15 stop payment fee will be deducted from the total amount to cover administrative costs. Checks are void after 60 days and will not be reissued.

Requests must be received at a minimum seven days before the event or scheduled payment date. Any monetary requests submitted within the 7 days prior to the event or scheduled payment date may not be approved by the board. This allows the board adequate time to evaluate the request for feasibility and impact of each request. Exceptions may be made in cases where there are extenuating circumstances, these cases will be evaluated on a case by case basis.

Your organization must comply with the USAFE policy for non-discrimination.
